• Encounter God
In an increasingly hectic world, there is a great need for space to encounter God free from the distractions and pressures of life.
In both the Old and New Testaments, the Bible shows men and women experiencing great, life changing encounters with the living God.
• Transformation
The aim of the Encounter is to set aside time where we can meet with God and experience various levels of spiritual transformation (spirit, soul and body - 1 Thessalonians 5:23).
The weekend makes available biblically grounded teaching, personal ministry and an opportunity to connect with others at a deeper level.
The subjects addressed include:
* Repentance
* Forgiveness
* Breaking of Curses
* Deliverance
* Inner Healing
* Filling with the Holy Spirit
* Developing a vision for your life
• Where does the Encounter happen?
The Encounter is a residential retreat. It happens from Friday night to Sunday midday at a venue that allows time away from the regular distractions of life. The cost varies depending on your situation but the current venue and cost is £80 for the weekend. We normally subsidise those who are not working.

For example, Abraham had his encounter with God before he began his journey to be a great nation (Genesis12). Moses encountered God before he led the Israelites out of slavery (Exodus 3). Joshua had his before leading the people of Israel into the Promised Land (Joshua 5:13-15) and Isaiah before becoming a prophet of the Most High (Isaiah 6:1-8).
Even Jesus recognised the need for planned times of retreat and reflection. He met with his Father in an encounter before starting his public ministry (Matthew 3:13-16, Luke 4:1a). Likewise, the apostle Paul had his Damascus road experience.
