• ‘Miracle-Gro’ for legs
(This one had nothing to do with anyone at The Lighthouse Church, except just that I was there and saw what happened.)
‘During the seminar called ‘Healing on the Streets’ at the New Wine leaders’ conference in Harrogate, Mark Marx from Coleraine gave a demonstration of how healing ministry should be conducted in a public place. He asked a woman, who had one leg an inch and a half shorter than the other, to come to the front (I’m not sure if this was a word of knowledge, or that he’d seen her walking into the seminar, or if she just volunteered). He sat her down in front of him with her legs straight as he supported her feet in his hands; we could clearly see that they were different lengths. He spoke the love of Jesus over her quite quietly, and over a couple of minutes that leg grew out to the same length as the other one! When she told her side of the story later, she said that she had thought to herself when Mark called her out: “You don’t understand – this sort of thing doesn’t happen to me!”’
